I am looking to buy a new computer once again. I know the best way to go is to build your own, but that is not a possibility for me right now as I am very short on time. Therefore, I was browsing around and came across a very good deal on the Dell Dimension 9100 PC from www.xpbargains.com. The following is included in the deal:

Pentium® D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 800FSB)
1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 2DIMMs
80GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition
Logitech Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
20 inch UltraSharp™ 2005FPW Widescreen Digital Flat Panel
Sound Blaster Audigy™2 ZS (D) Card w/Dolby 5.1, and IEEE 1394
128MB Radeon X300 PCI Express
48x CD-RW Drive + 16x DVD+/-RW

I get all of this for $1,338.00.

Please let me know how you guys feel about this deal, whether it is worth it or not and if you guys know of any better deals. Thanks.

A better video card and you would be set.

A better video card and you would be set.

The only problem with that is that a better video card would bring the price up a couple hundred dollars. Besides, I don't use too many applications that require a very good graphics card so I guess the 128MB would do my just fine. All I play is CS 1.6 and CS:S.

Let me tell you I got a Dell Dimension (8400) I believe brand new (from Dell) for around 900 dollars (a little less).

This was a 3 Ghz, and 1 GB Ram at 533 Mhz with the same video card as the one you posted (X300).

That video card works fine for me in anything, HL2, CS : S, CS 1.6, ect.

How much did you pay for yours? Did it come with any sort of a monitor? The the comptuer itself run well? Was it worth buying?

If it doesn't work the way you want it, I know how to over-clock stuff.
