Setting maxplayers

I was wondering, is it possible 2 change the maxplayers without doing that window that pops up when ur server starts cuz i have ftp and that window dose4nt show so i was wondering if i could do something or console or w/e ciz i know that rxom maxplayers the server needs 2 b off 2 do that

in the exe when u run a console the parameter +maxplayers NumberOfPlayers

pretty much but im payin for a 10 man server so i guess they dont want any1 getting more than thye paied for

Right click on the console version of HLDS, when it IS NOT up.
Click on properties
Then you will see the parameter "+maxplayers X" (X= number of players)
So change the "X" to change the maxplayers. DONT FORGET TO CLICK APPLY AFTER YOU HAVE MADE CHANGES!

Some providers will provide you with a tech support guy who will walk you through almost anything because he knows how the computer is set up, you know?

i told u there is not even an hlds.exe file there thats gone im trying 2 find a way cuz i dont have an hlds console is there some way i could put an autoexe.cfg file in its cstrike forlder or in the main folder with maxplayers 32?

Make a notepad document, name it something.cfg and set the parameter to maxplayers....I think that it is mp/sv_maxplayers 32
