Keylogger

I haven't posted here in a while, but I'm just asking a question not involving CS.
I entered an mIRC channel and it deleted all the channels I was in so I rejoined, and then he said he put a keylogger in my background settings. Look.

How do I get rid of this?

Run all spyware programs such as: Ad-Aware, Microsoft-Antispyware, Sybot S&D, Hijack this, CWShredder. If it fails to detect anything, look around in msconfig.

Uh Oh man, that isn't good - run a bunch of removal programs.

Well, normally I would tell you to not care BUT, mIRC does have security problems (always use another IRC client than mIRC!!!)

Your best bet would be to reformat.

What mIRC client should I use? Is it the same thing but a differnet script?
And how do I reformat?

To reformat you need your windows xp recovery cd-rom, it probably came with your computer.

Pop it in, it should automaticly boot, if it doesn't, access your BIOS settings, usually this can be done by pressing F12 or F8 when your computer first boots up.
Anyway, when it boots, you will go to a blue screen, where it will be loading lots of things, just wait, probably around 5 minutes.
Next, follow the instuctions at the top to delete the partition, usually by pressing D on the selected partition, then L to delete it.
Next, hit enter on the Unpartitioned space to set up windows xp on that area.
It will format, then install windows xp.

Just remember, when your reformat, you lose ALL information, so back up any important data!

I don't think I got keylogged.
I ran Norton, nothing came up.
I ran SpySubtract, the usuals came up, and I deleted them.
I ran Adaware, and something called the Columb Dialer came up and it was listed as a "Porn Dialer" that can raise your phone bill, so I quarantined it.
I ran CWShredder, nothing came up.
I did MSConfig, and what am I supposed to look for?

No, I was in #compLexity and I needed scorebot for #team.vd and he said go to #0,0 and I decided not to but I figured what the hell and boom!
