Connection Problems

I set up a HLDS for counter strike 1.6 for the internet
its working fine for everybody except me , i use a router with port forwarding
my server computer is in the DMZ . when i try to connect to the server with another computer on my LAN i can ping the server but when i connect it times out =( , any help would be greatful =D

Are you running the HLDS server on the computer that you are playing on?

No , im connecting from a different computer on the same network

Instead of setting up a DMZ on your router just port forward HLDS

Try re-forwarding your ports and then restarting your router.

When you restart your router does it reset all the stuff to default?

No, it's like installing something on Windows and then restarting for it to work, but you're changing something on your router and restarting it for it to work.
